Řada starších rodinných domů v Plzni-Lochotíně zůstala zachována uprostřed panelových domů, čímž vznikl zajímavý ostrov soukromí se zahradami uprostřed sídliště. Většina okolních domů již byla zrekonstruována a zvětšena různými nástavbami, čímž se do velké míry ztratilo měřítko původní zástavby. Návrh rekonstrukce se snaží reagovat na současné potřeby a požadavky mladé rodiny, ale snaží se zároveň hmotu domu pouze nenafukovat, ale přinést novou, soudobou vrstvu, která pracuje s archetypálním prvkem štítu se sedlovou střechou.
A number of older family houses in Plzeň-Lochotín have been preserved amidst panel houses, creating an interesting island of privacy with gardens in the middle of the housing estate. Most of the surrounding houses have already been renovated and enlarged with various extensions, which has largely lost the scale of the original development. The reconstruction design tries to respond to the current needs and requirements of a young family, but at the same time tries not to inflate the mass of the house, but to bring a new, contemporary layer that works with the archetypal element of the gable with a gable roof.
